Job description:

The Platform team operates and develops the infrastructure and the backend software of our Cloud Platform. As a Senior System Engineer in the Platform team, your will work in the following areas: 

  • A self-managed Private Cloud across a worldwide secured and distributed network
  • A Linux/OSS environment

Role & responsibilities: 

  • Implement solutions, especially at the infrastructure and network levels
  • Design and write technical specifications of solutions
  • Collaborate with the team members (including the testers) to reach the goals of the team
  • Execute the deployment, operations, and maintenance of the production environment
  • Manage the test & validation environments
  • Produce all the necessary internal technical documentations
  • Report to the team any potential issue/risk discovered

Qualifications & education requirements:

  • A Masters’ degree or equivalent by experience.

You have a good knowledge of (mandatory): 

  • IP networking & protocols
  • Linux system administration
  • Scripting (bash, python...)
  • SQL language, DB management

You have some experience with (nice to have):

  • Git or other Source Code Management
  • Firewalling, IPSec, OSPF
  • OpenVPN or other VPN technology
  • Ansible
  • IT security
  • Cloud Infrastructure & Services
  • High availability & load balancing

Preferred skills:

  • Rigorous, analytical, critical and problem-solving mentality
  • Curious & innovative mindset
  • Security minded
