Industrialisation Manager


Job Description:

In the frame of the operations department, as part of the manufacturing of electronic products, the industrialization manager plays a role of interface between R&D and production, he is the guarantor of the launch of the product for manufacturing by deploying and optimizing the methods and manufacturing tools to use.
He is responsible for the product configuration and production methods as well as the product traceability tool.
Highly technical, his goal is also to ensure the continuous improvement of manufacturing methods and tools with full technical understanding of the product and process.
He also assumes the management of the predictive and curative maintenance of production’s resources.
He manages projects to improve products, improve or standardize processes or workflows.
The industrialization manager is the head of the industrialization team.
This team contains in particular test & manufacturing engineer(s) as well as in the mean term, to be build, the operational software development team for test benches in collaboration with R&D.
The industrialization manager is the first link in the production process of the new product introduction and works closely with the Production Manager and the Operational Quality Manager. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work upstream with R&D to contribute to the technologies that will be produced tomorrow (technology watch) and constructively review the designs to contribute to quality, efficiency and optimal cost of the product both in production and at subcontractor’s facilities.
  • Realize, assist and supervise the production of prototypes in production.
  • Participate in project management of new products to perform their projects launch in production.
  • Train the production team in production with tools and methods.
  • Write and update technical documentation related to production methods or processes.
  • Plan investment requests needed for industrialization.
  • Change management in production tools.
  • Propose improvements and evolutions of production tools and products to R&D and follow up of those feedbacks with R&D.
  • Participate in the improvement of production performance through the continuous improvement of these tools.
  • Identify the dysfunctions of the production tools and set up the corrective actions to implement and deploy. Provide a technical contribution in the resolution of problems or nonconformities both internally and with subcontractors in close collaboration with quality.
  • Manage the industrialization team.
  • Manage industrialization projects allowing the automation of production steps or improvement of production flows.
  • Manage the development of a new test bench platform. Contribute to the development of this new tool in close collaboration with the counterpart team of the Swedish headquarter.
  • Anticipate, plan and manage the duplication of product test benches and their implementations.
  • Check the maintenance achieved by his team and propose optimizations of the maintenance plan.
  • Manage IT production assets in collaboration with IT.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Master with 5 to 10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of electronics or electronic production technology or software development (Labview / Teststand or equivalent test management software)
  • English and French (oral and written)
