The M-Bus protocol is a European standard protocol for reading of energy meters, like gas, water or electricity. Many manufacturers have implemented the M-Bus protocol in their products.This solution for M-Bus devices is composed of an eWON VPN router, connected to one or more M-Bus devices, and a java application Driver eXtender. It allows reading data in M-Bus, logging it into eWON internal tags thus also enabling alarm notifications. Data is then available in Modbus TCP,  or as an csv file through FTP or by e-mail.

 

What is eXtenders?

eXtenders is a java application for eWON. It provides eWON devices with a flexible solution for extending communication protocols. The software is installed directly into eWON device and can be controlled by the native web interface.
