The eWON 4104 is the new industrial router with embedded ADSL modem to access remote machines and assets through the Internet. The new module provides Machine Builders/OEMs, Utility Managers and System Integrators with broadband secure ADSL connectivity that can be backed up by an optional modem.

The eWON 4104 functions as a full IP router and transparent gateway, allowing remote access to both serial and Ethernet devices on the Machine “LAN”. Thanks to its optional built-in modem, any Ethernet but also serial based PLC or automation equipment can be accessed both ways: through the Internet and via modem for use as a back-up access.

Seamlessly integrated with the PLC programming environment, the eWON 4104 still monitors and collects data into internal tags while PLC maintenance is performed. The eWON 4104 has both Web and FTP servers embedded as well as an independent alarm management system, data logging and web synoptics capabilities.

The routing capabilities offered by eWON give instant access to any devices on a remote industrial Ethernet network (LAN) through secure Internet.

By using eWON units with permanent ADSL connection, you can securely link all of your remote sites and your central monitoring station on the same 'virtual cable', for data acquisition, remote monitoring and alarm notification purposes.

3. Broadband Internet secure PLC Remote Maintenance with Talk2M

Acting as a secure, IP router with VPN endpoints, the eWON 2104 and 4104 modules provide the ability to directly access and control remote devices and to perform remote maintenance via broadband Internet.

4. Remote diagnosis, control and monitoring on remote machines & assets with historical logging and web HMI capabilities

A continuous logging can be performed on every eWON tags in two modes: historical (130.000 points) and/or real time. The datalogging file can easily be retrieved by FTP or attached to an email on text (CSV) or binary format. A powerful script language engine (Export Block Descriptor) is available to define the datalogging export contents. An online graph utility (multiple pen, multiple axis) is available on the historical page of the eWON web site. Thanks to viewON 2, it is now possible to monitor and interact with automated processes, from your web browser interface, through your own customised HMI, containing entire synoptics with various objects and animations, within minutes and without any specific web or programming skills.
