The eWON 2104 is the new industrial router with embedded ADSL modem to access remote machines and assets through the Internet. The new module provides Machine Builders/OEMs, Utility Managers and System Integrators with broadband secure ADSL connectivity that can be backed up by an optional modem.

The eWON 2104 functions as a full IP router and transparent gateway, allowing remote access to both serial and Ethernet devices on the Machine “LAN”. Thanks to its optional built-in modem, any Ethernet but also serial based PLC or automation equipment can be accessed both ways: through Internet and via modem for use as a back-up access.

Seamlessly integrated with the PLC programming environment, the eWON 2104 still monitors and collects data into internal tags while PLC maintenance is performed. The eWON 2104 has both Web and FTP servers embedded as well as an independent alarm management system.

By using eWON units with permanent ADSL connection, you can securely link all of your remote sites and your central monitoring station on the same 'virtual cable', for data acquisition, remote monitoring and alarm notification purposes.

Acting as a secure, IP router with VPN endpoints, the eWON 2104 and 4104 modules provide the ability to directly access and control remote devices and to perform remote maintenance via broadband Internet.
